The Aviary welcomes professional golfers on tour to those who have never picked up a golf club before, and we have coaching, drills and courses suitable for all levels and abilities. AVRY The Academy welcomes professional golfers on tour to those who have never picked up a golf club before, and we have coaching, drills and courses suitable for all levels and abilities. Do I need to bring my own clubs? We encourage you to bring your own, so the data and feedback you get are the most accurate, but we do have a selection of junior, ladies and mens right and left handed clubs available for a small charge. Is there a dress code? Absolutely not! You are welcome to wear whatever you like, other than spiked golf shoes. We recommend casual clothing to allow you to swing freely. We have heating and air-con, so we can adjust to reflect the outdoor weather. Do you have food and drinks? We have hot, cold and alcoholic drinks available for purchase, and we have a number of local partners who will deliver food to you for your booking. We are happy to pre-order this, please let us know at the time of booking where you will see the menu, particularly for peak time bookings. Please get in touch with any dietary / allergy requirements and we can ensure these are catered for. Do I need to pre-book? We highly recommend you do to avoid disappointment. All bookings are done on our website or our members app. Do you cater for left-handed golfers? Absolutely! Unlike other systems, Trackman can accommodate right and left handers in the same group. We also have left handed clubs available. What courses do you have? Our library is ever-growing, and our current offerings can be seen here - https://www.trackman.com/golf/simulator/courses. Can I change my group numbers? For safety reasons, we can only accept a maximum of four people per bay. If you wish to add numbers above this please let us know and if we have space we will add you a second bay to your booking at an additional cost. How long do I need to play? To speed up play, we use Trackman's AutoPutt feature, which is based on PGA average distance and scoring once all players are on the green. Based on the average amateur golfer to complete 18 holes, we generally say to book: 1 player - 60 mins 2 players - 2 hours 3 players - 2 hours 30 mins 4 players - 3 hours but please do give us a call if you would like advice related to your ability levels. What if I need to cancel? We understand plans can change, but please either cancel your booking or let us know by 48 hours by ringing or emailing ( we may not pick up outside business hours so please leave a message). No shows will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee. The Clubhouse Rules As agreed to in the waiver before participation at the Clubhouse, we ask you to please follow these rules for everyone's safety: 24 hours cancellation time required or full session cost is forfeited. Please call ahead if you need to change your tee time. Golf shoes or running shoes are fine but NO METAL SPIKES. Guests acknowledge both premises where AVRY LEISURE LTD operate are under video surveillance. Tampering with camera system or damaging equipment by not following procedures in the guidelines will result in financial compensation being paid to AVRY LEISURE LTD. Guests and members acknowledge that photography and/or video may be recorded and used for promotional purposes without compensation. If you bring your own clubs, please make sure club faces are clean before play. Own golf balls are ONLY allowed if new and clean - any pen or dirt will mark the screen. Keep food and drinks at the provided tables. NO FOOD OR DRINK INSIDE SIMULATOR at any time! Players are responsible for the equipment inside the simulators. No swinging clubs outside of the simulators swing area for safety reasons. Play safe. Only one person on the grassed hitting area at a time. Before you swing any club, check your surroundings (monitor, other players etc.) to ensure no one or obstacle is within your range of swing. Be aware of your backswing and follow through at all times. Your shot must be directed forward. Swinging should always take place on hitting area of the mat. Practice swings must be taken with each club, and must be done on hitting area of the mat. Be alert of where you stand or walk and stay out of someone’s range of swing. Report any accidents immediately. Customers must sign a separate waiver if renting clubs off AVRY LEISURE LTD. Guests are financially responsible for any damage caused by failure to follow the directions of the Rules and Guidelines. Failure to abide by any of the above procedures may result in cancellation of the remainder of your paid simulator time without compensation.

The Dynamic Fit This is whereby you fit a number of shots with your existing irons, which enables us to capture a measurable base to work from. From this we look at key numbers provided by the latest Trackman 4 radar launch monitor, such as ball speed, spin rate, peak height, start direction, carry and distance. From there we will start to build a framework to find you the ideal club make up, that not only suits your swing characteristics, whether that be a steep or shallow angle of attack. Or an in to out swing path, an out to in swing path, whether you have an early extension or tend to drop from the top of your swing. The Optimal Fit By taking the data above we have 90% of the picture, combining them tells us the clubs you should require now, to play more consistent golf today. What we don’t want to do is hold your game back. So part of the optimal fit is to discuss your golfing journey, where you want to be. In doing so, we can fit you for your journey and work with you to give you equipment that allows you to improve and develop the things you are working on.
