The Aviary was born in 2017 as the brainchild of PGA professional Darren Cain, who ran a number of successful coaching academies across Cheshire, but was fed up of losing so many lessons to the ever unpredictable English weather. What is AVRY? Book Now AVRY comes from the team behind The Avry Indoor Golf. The golf boom after the pandemic meant we truly outgrew our space, even with an expansion in 2021. We want to be the best of the best, and we decided to move a few doors down to allow us to grow. We rebranded to AVRY, to reflect we are now not solely indoor golf - we have our AVRY academy for lessons, and the Clubhouse is our competitive socialising and entertainment venue. There is something for all the family, and for any age, ability, experience, and for both golfers and non golfers alike. Our Multiball system is great to get moving, particularly for young kids + the elderley, and offers games and challenges to educate, entertain and exercise. Golfers can play over 450+ PGA courses, or practice on the ranges, challenge themselves on the mini games or map their bags. Try your hand at darts, pool, fusbal, or simply have a drink at the bar and watch some live sports. The concept is to offer world class coaching and technology, suitable and accessible in all weather, to professional golfers, amateurs and beginners who have never picked up a club before. We have no dress code, no equipment or experience is needed - we are a fun space to improve or begin your golf journey and enjoy our friendly Clubhouse atmosphere. We are proud to be an England Golf affiliated facility, and we work alongside them to meet their SafeGolf and EDI policies and procedures. All our non PGA staff are currently completing a Community Golf Instructor qualification through England Golf. You can view the SafeGolf Certificate HERE and you can view our EDI Policy HERE Any questions regarding these can be asked by contacting us directly. The TrackMan golf radar not only helps map key data parameters – ball speed, attack angle, club path, face angle, etc. – it also captures the golf swing with a built-in HD video camera, or with the use of external cameras. There are two bases that form the custom fitting process, these being, what is known as the Dynamic Fit and secondly, what is known as the Static Fit. The combination of the two to give what we refer to as the "Optimal Fit". This is where a measurement is taken based  on an analysis of height, reach, hand size etc to give us a guide as to your physical properties. The Static Fit There are two bases that form the custom fitting process, these being, what is known as the Dynamic Fit and secondly, what is known as the Static Fit. The combination of the two to give what we refer to as the "Optimal Fit". This is where a measurement is taken based on an analysis of height, reach, hand size etc to give us a guide as to your physical properties. The Dynamic Fit This is whereby you fit a number of shots with your existing irons, which enables us to capture a measurable base to work from. From this we look at key numbers provided by the latest Trackman 4 radar launch monitor, such as ball speed, spin rate, peak height, start direction, carry and distance. From there we will start to build a framework to find you the ideal club make up, that not only suits your swing characteristics, whether that be a steep or shallow angle of attack. Or an in to out swing path, an out to in swing path, whether you have an early extension or tend to drop from the top of your swing. The Optimal Fit By taking the data above we have 90% of the picture, combining them tells us the clubs you should require now, to play more consistent golf today. What we don’t want to do is hold your game back. So part of the optimal fit is to discuss your golfing journey, where you want to be. In doing so, we can fit you for your journey and work with you to give you equipment that allows you to improve and develop the things you are working on. ORKA Golf is a multi-award-winning, leading hardware brand for professional club building, club fitting and product design utilising innovative technologies. Here in our Workshop, we are proud to be a specialist custom build centre and stockist for Orka. Our professional will take you through a comprehensive custom fit process using Trackman technology and analysing ball and club data to build you the perfect personalised fit of club, whether it’s one club or a whole new set you need. As Orka say 'In an age when we can customize so much, buying a set of clubs off the rack and hoping they work is a sure way to add frustration to your game and a hole in your wallet. That’s why we don’t hold stock anywhere in the world. We don’t want your fitting to be compromised, we want your clubs to be exactly right for you. You should be able to decide your set make up, maybe you need more hybrids or more wedges. Our open stock policy means you can have exactly the right set for you and your game.' You are unique, we think your clubs should be too. The Custom Fitting Process " Custom Built. Not just Custom Fit ".
